RAFA Wrekin (Wellington) Branch Homepage

Welcome to the Wrekin (Wellington) Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association.

We are an active branch representing the Telford and Wrekin area in Shropshire. We meet socially at the Sir John Bayley club on Haygate Road in Wellington every fourth Tuesday of the month between 7,30pm and 9,30pm (except December). We have a variety of events and guest speakers to make the evenings enjoyable. Throughout the year, we also hold other events and excursions. This year we celebrated our 70th year as a branch with a dinner night and entertainment at a local hotel.

You do not need to be a former member of the Royal Air Force to become a member of RAFA. You may join as an associate member. However, if you have served (even for 1 day) then you may join as a full member. Members of the Air Cadets can join as members of RAFA Youth.

Our motto, ‘Non Nobis Sed Vobis’ translates to “Not for ourselves alone”. Our main aim is to provide friendship and a common ground to meet and chat with like-minded people. As a registered charity, we raise funds for the RAF Association and RAF Benevolent fund so that it may be used to assist with welfare for those in need. We have a befriending service and a local welfare officer who are qualified to provide a listening ear and help where needed. So remember, you are not alone, we are here for you.
